It is now, more than ever that we need to keep MOVING.
As we are all aware, exercise has many benefits for fitness, cardiovascular health, strength, mobility and so on.
But the two most important reasons to keep exercising right now are to keep the IMMUNE SYSTEM STRONG and support your MENTAL HEALTH.
Studies have shown that leading a physically active lifestyle (and that is moving a minimum of 30minutes daily) can help reduce the incidences of communicable and non-communicable diseases! That is exactly what we need in this time of uncertainty with COVID-19.
A recent study by the University of Birmingham and Kings College found that 125 non-smoking amateur cyclists aged 55 to 79 still had the immune systems of young people! Exercise keeps you young people and reduces your biological age when it comes to health factors!
Even if you do not feel like it, scheduling 30 minutes of exercise in to your day can help increase your endorphins in the body (chemicals that trigger positive feelings in the body). This might not change the circumstances of what is happening around you right now, but it will help you to cope and react differently to what is going on.
